Sharp Play Hub

About Sharp Play Hub

Who we are and what this site is for. General information only, not legal advice.

We built Sharp Play Hub because we wanted somewhere to play a few classic games without agreeing to anything first. No account wall, no cookie maze, no launcher, no "download our app for the full experience." Four games, one page each, and a Start button — all of it set in a painted galaxy, because a browser tab may as well be somewhere worth looking at.

What we built

The site is plain HTML, one stylesheet, and one JavaScript file. There is no framework and no build step — what you download is what runs. It makes no requests to any third-party server, which is easy to verify: open your browser's network tab and watch it load nothing but this domain.

The four games are our own implementations of long-established game types. Bubble Pop is a bubble shooter, and its shooter only ever loads a colour still present on the wall. Fruit Slice is a fruit-slicing reflex game where one bomb ends the run. Cosmic Jigsaw scrambles one of three galaxies across a grid, and no shuffle reaches you unless it is unsolved and leaves at most a quarter of the pieces already home. Mole Tap is whack-a-mole against a sixty-second clock, and the same burrow never fires twice in a row.

What we deliberately don't do

We do not collect personal information, run advertising, or load an analytics script. We do not have a leaderboard, because a leaderboard needs a server and a server needs your data. Your best scores are written to your own browser and stay there.

There is also no gambling here, and there never will be. Nothing is wagered, nothing is won, and no score turns into money, currency, or a prize. That is a design decision, not a legal hedge.

The honest limitations

Because scores are stored per-device, playing on your phone and your laptop gives you two separate sets of records. There is no way to sync them, and adding one would mean building exactly the account system we set out to avoid. We think that is the right trade, but it is a real trade.

Fruit Slice is also a fast, visual game, and while it can be played from the keyboard we will not pretend it is comfortable that way. Cosmic Jigsaw is a picture puzzle and depends on seeing the picture. Mole Tap is a grid game, keyboard-complete, and announces its state to a screen reader.
